Welding Neck Flange WN ASTM A182 Duplex Steel Gr F55 F60 SCH 120S API 10000# 6A TYPE 6BX
F55 (S32760, 1.4501) is a high-alloy super duplex stainless steel, which is mainly used in various strong corrosion environments. F55 dual-phase steel is stronger than dao in strength and corrosion resistance, and is mainly used in chemical processing, petrochemical industry and subsea equipment. It has strong resistance to chloride corrosion, higher thermal conductivity and lower coefficient of thermal expansion. The high chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen content makes it highly resistant to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and other corrosion. The excellent comprehensive performance of F55 (S32760, 1.4501) dual-phase steel is superior to ordinary dual-phase steel, such as 2205, S31803, etc.
F55 (S32760, 1.4501) dual-phase steel can withstand various inorganic and organic acids, and its added copper element makes it have excellent resistance to non-oxidizing acid corrosion. F55 is also resistant to strong alkali corrosion, but F55 (S32760, 1.4501) ) Dual-phase steel is not suitable for long-term working temperature above 300 ℃, because above this temperature, the toughness of the material will be significantly reduced.

Difference between butt welding flange with neck and flat welding flange with neck
First, the welding form is different: the welding form of the flanged pipe with a neck is a fillet weld, and the welding weld form of the necked butt welding flange and the pipe is a circular weld;
1: Different materials: The flange material with neck flat welding is processed with thick ordinary steel plates as required, while the flange material with neck butt welding is mainly made of forged steel parts.
2: The nominal pressure is different: the nominal pressure of the neck-welded flange is 0.6 ~ 4.0MPa, and the nominal pressure of the neck-welded flange is 1 ~ 25MPa.
Second, the welds with neck butt welding flanges and pipes belong to category B welds, and the welds with neck flat weld flanges and pipe joints belong to category C welds, and the nondestructive testing after welding is different.
3: The neck flat welding flange and the neck butt welding flange cannot be replaced at will. In terms of manufacturing angle, the neck flat welding flange (SLIPON for short) is large, small in weight, and low in cost. In addition, butt welded flanges with a nominal diameter greater than 250 mm (WN is short for WELDINGNECK) should also be tested at low cost.
